The world’s fastest computer was released recently in Tokyo,Japan,computer manufacturer Fujitsu Ltd said last week it had launched sales of world’s fastest supercomputer.
The VPP 5000 Supercomputer has a peak performance of 9.6 Giga flops (floating-point operations per second)per processing element,outperforming any other supercomputer,the film said.Fujitsu said it used a fine manufacturing process to incorporate 33 million transistors on a single integrated chip.
The film plans to start delivery in December,with monthly rent starting at 4.4 million yen($37,000).
“Higher processing performance will always be in demand for running applications that can help solve global-level problems and develop leading edge technologies,”the firm said.
