When I’m an old lady, I’ll live with each kid, and bring so much happiness... just as they did. I want to pay back all the joy they’ve provided. Returning each deed! Oh, they’ll be so excited!
When I’m an old lady and live with my kids. I’ll write on the walls with reds, whites and blues, and I’ll bounce1 on the furniture wearing my shoes. I’ll drink from the carton and then leave it out. I’ll stuff2 all the toilets and oh, how they’ll shout!
When I’m an old lady and live with my kids. When they’re on the phone and just out of reach3, I’ll get into things like sugar and bleach4. Oh, they’ll snap their fingers and then shake their head, roll their eyes and wish they were dead.
When I’m an old lady and live with my kids. When they cook dinner and call me to eat, I’ll not eat my green beans or salad or meat, I’ll spill milk on the table, and when they get angry, I’ll run... if I’m able!
When I’m an old lady and live with my kids. I’ll sit close to the TV, through the channels I’ll click; I’ll cross both eyes just to see if they stick5. I’ll take off my socks and throw one away, and play in the mud until the end of the day!
When I’m an old lady and live with my kids. And later in bed, I’ll lay back6 and sigh; I’ll thank God in prayer and then close my eyes. My kids will look down with a smile slowly creeping, and say with a groan, “She’s so sweet when she’s sleeping!”
当我变成老太婆的时候，我要和我的每个孩子一起生活，给他们带去很多欢乐……就像当初他们给我带来的欢乐一样。他们给我带来的，我要悉数奉还，一件不落！哦，想想他们将会多激动啊！
当我变成老太婆，和孩子们一起生活的时候……我要用各色彩笔在墙上乱写乱画，穿着鞋子在家具上蹦来跳去；我要对着牛奶盒子喝牛奶，喝不完就搁那儿；我还要把厕所都弄堵住。哦，他们会嚷嚷成什么样儿啊！
当我变成老太婆和孩子们一起生活的时候…….他们打电话、腾不出手管我时，我就去玩糖和漂白剂之类的东西。他们会手指关节噼啪作响，不住地摇头，气得眼珠子直翻，简直要发疯。
当我变成老太婆，和孩子们一起生活的时候……他们做好饭叫我，我不会吃豌豆、沙拉或是肉，我会把牛奶洒在餐桌上，他们要是发火我就跑……如果我还跑得动的话！
当我变成老太婆，和孩子们一起生活的时候……我要坐得离电视近近的，把频道换个遍；我会装斗鸡眼只想看看他们是否受得了。我脱下袜子，把一只扔得老远；我还要玩泥巴直到天黑！
当我变成老太婆，和孩子们一起生活的时候……晚点上床的时候，我会躺在床上，叹口气；我祈祷着感谢上帝，然后闭上眼。我的孩子们会俯下身看着我，脸上渐渐露出一点微笑，低声说：“她睡着的时候真是可爱啊！”
