2001年11月12日，在全世界歌迷的翘首期盼下，Westlife推出了自己的第三张专辑World Of Our Own，专辑的同名单曲“World of Our Own"更是空降到英国单曲的冠军位置，发行仅一周便以30多万的销量打败了歌坛天后Madonna的精选专辑成为冠军。新专辑共收录了19首世界当红词曲创作者们的杰作，其中有7首歌曲完全由团员们自己创作。音乐的类型和表现与以前的作品相比，内容更为丰满，除了高超的技巧和成熟的唱功外，又加入了灵魂式的唱腔。浪漫抒情的歌曲依然是Westlife专辑的传统特色，而多首快板歌曲更衬托出了Westlife年轻人的活泼动感。
