1.Once when I went to buy E.S, I found the shop owner reading the latest  E.S. with a dictionary, attentively. I asked him if I could have a look at it. He asked me why. I answered I wanted to buy it and he should sell it to me. To my great surprise, the man refused me and said that it was his book-store and he had the right to decide whether to sell it or not. I was much embarrassed and left.

2. One day, in an English class, our teacher was telling us how to use the word ″marry″. Then she gave us an example by writing on the blackboard—″Are you married?″ This time, I took it as a question. So I answered ″No!″ very loudly. At that time, all of my classmates were staring at me, which made me so embarrassed.

3. The class was over and I stood up, meaning to go out to enjoy myself for a while. But there was a nail in the stool which tore a hole in my trousers with loud noise. Some of my classmates noticed it and began laughing. So shy and embarrassed I felt.

5.When studying in a junior school I wanted to make fun of a girl who was my hardest enemy. One day I told her that the English teacher would have a word with her in the office. She smiled and went away with many thanks to me! I giggled. A few minutes later she returned and shouted to me:     ″How dare you cheat me? Now it's your turn to see the teacher.″ I regretted playing the joke, but I had to enjoy a good scold from the teacher. Once catching sight of the teacher I bowed and waited. A few minutes passed, I found the teacher looking at me in surprise. I thought he was too angry to say a word, so I broke the ice by saying ″I'm sorry.″ ″For what?″ What? The teacher didn't know anything about it? I was fooled by the girl. Embarrassed? Angry? Both.

6. The other day at a bus stop I saw a girl. Looking from behind I was sure she was a friend of mine I hadn't seen for a long time. I gave her a tap on the shoulder with my umbrella and shouted at her at the same time. She turned around, completely taken aback. She was a stranger, a complete stranger. Terribly embarrassed, I didn't know how to make an explanation. With ″I'm sorry″ I walked away as quickly as possible.

7. My father is an English teacher I always turn to for help when I have trouble in English study. I always say ″Hey, daddy. There's a problem.″ One day we were having an English class with the teacher called Mr. Zhou. Suddenly I found something in the text too difficult for me. So I raised my hand and stood up saying: ″Hey, daddy, I've some...″ Before I finished, the whole class laughed at me. Isn't it the most embarrassing moment?

8. I'm good at swimming, so the teacher asks me to be the coach of the school swimming team. What makes me happy is that most of ″my students″ are beautiful girls and I'm very happy to show them how to swim everyday. One day in a crowded supermarket I heard someone calling  me     ″teacher″. I turned and said loudly: ″I just couldn't recognize you when you are not in swimming suit clothes.″ Everyone looked at me in a strange way. How embarrassed I was.

It was a Chinese class, but our head teacher came in and told us that Miss Hen's leg got injured, so we'd have a free class to do what we liked to, but ″Don't talk, laugh or play.″  How happy I was. Taking out my walkman I began to enjoy Jay Zhou's song. I hated to be caught by the teacher, so I said in a low voice to my classmate: ″when the teacher comes in, warn me. I don't want the teacher to catch me listening to music.″ Just then all my classmates were turning and looking at me. Why? Oh, my-I thought I was murmuring, though indeed I was shouting, because the walkman was too noisy!

10. One day on my way home I saw a man wearing a pair of black glasses standing near the zebra crossing. A moment later he still stood there. Walking over I saw a stick in his hand, so I kindly asked ″Do you mind me helping you cross the street ?″ He agreed after some hesitation. Having reached the other side he said: ″Thank you all the same, though I'm not blind. I use the stick because there is something wrong with my leg.″ At these words my face turned red, but still I felt happy.
