Open all year round: Located in beautiful, quiet, wooded surroundings in the heart of Amsterdam. Can be reached by streetcar 13 or 17 and also by car and bicycle. For those to whom such transportation has been forbidden by the German authorities, it can also be reached on foot.
Price: Free.
Diet: Low-fat.
Running water in the bathroom (sorry, no bath) and on various inside and outside walls.
Ample storage space for a variety of goods.
Private radio with a direct line to London, New York and many other stations. Available to all residents after 6 P.M. No listening to forbidden broadcasts, with certain exceptions, i.e., German stations may only be tuned in to listen to classical music.
Rest hours: From 10 P.M. to 7:30 A.M.; 10:15 A.M. on Sundays. Owing to circumstances, residents are required to observe rest hours during the daytime when instructed to do so by the Management. To ensure the safety of all, rest hours must be strictly observed!!!
Free-time activities: None allowed outside the house until further notice5.
Use of language: It is necessary to speak softly at all times. Only the language of civilized people may be spoken, thus no German.
Singing: Only softly, and after 6 P.M.
Classes: A weekly correspondence course6 in shorthand7. Courses in English, French, math and history offered at any hour of the day or night.
Separate department for the care of small household pets.
Mealtimes: Breakfast: At 9 A.M. daily except holidays and Sundays; at 11:30 A.M. on Sundays and holidays. Lunch: A light meal. From 1:15 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. Dinner: May or not be a hot meal. Mealtime depends on news broadcasts.
Obligations8: Residents must be prepared to help with office work at all times.
Baths: The wash tub is available to all residents after 9 A.M. on Sundays. Residents may bathe in the bathroom, kitchen, private office or front office, as they choose.
Alcohol: For medicinal purposes only.

 “密室”指南
为犹太人及同样无家可归之人临时居住而设立的特殊机构。

唱歌：只准晚6点后小声哼哼。
课程：每周一次速记函授课。英语、法语、数学和历史为常规课。
小型宠物：有特殊部门负责。
就餐时间：早餐，除星期天和节假日外每天上午9点。逢星期日和节假日为上午11：30。午餐：少吃，下午1：15到1：45。晚餐，或冷或热，无确定时间（依新闻广播而定）。
义务：房客必须随时参与公共事务。
沐浴：星期天上午9：00后洗涤池对所有房客开放。房客也可选用浴室、厨房、私人办公室或者主办公室。
酒精饮料：谨遵医嘱。

1. 安妮·弗兰克，1929年生于德国，犹太人。二战中安妮一家流亡到荷兰，为躲避纳粹迫害，全家躲进父亲公司大楼的几间密室里，并生活了两年多。1944年8月，纳粹抓走藏在密室里的8个犹太人。几个月后，安妮因风寒死在集中营。战后，只有安妮父亲一人生还。他整理、出版了安妮的日记，引起举世震惊。
