For the 11th consecutive year, Microsoft Corp. co-founder Bill Gates took first place on the “Forbes 400” list 2004 of the richest people in the U.S. Gates's net worth increased by US$2 billion from a year ago to US$48 billion. But Investor Warren Buffett edged closer. And the youngest person on the list is 31-year-old Google co-founder Brin, tied for No. 43.
