APEC leaders get  together in Shanghai 

The 9th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders' Meeting was held in Shanghai on October 20—21. Attending the meeting were leaders of 20 member countries, including Chinese President Jiang Zemin, US President George W. Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The meeting discussed problems on world trade, investment and global economic slowdown. They also exchanged views on the problem of anti-terrorism.

亚太经合组织（APEC）第9次领导人会议于2001年10月20—21日在上海举行，参加会议的有20个成员国的领导人，其中包括中国国家主席江泽民、美国总统布什和俄罗斯总统普京。会议讨论了世界贸易、投资及全球经济放缓的问题，并就反恐怖主义问题交换了意见。
