Deathless
Rain drops splattered across the land
Children outcast from destinies hand
Seated on pavement with a branch
Drew out their lives in the sand
A town in which Death never comes
A place in where no tunnel found
To neither Erebus nor Tartaus beneath
Cerberus the watch dog with bloody teeth
Merry and gay tangled around a bonfire
Carnivals end with lust of tire
It’s somewhere god forgives
For Pandora’s last hope mankind lives
Now and forever and never fade
Into the echoing streams of hades.
The deathless looked younger each day
Tired sinners had their own life slain
A mourning ceremony was never held
For those so ungratefully misspelled
Why live and why not be gone.
Because. It’s the best reason all alone.
Everyday is a single box
Latter smelled fresh yet former worn out
Can not change the past corpses
In an endless path, so many warps.
Someplace a band is playing
Intoning the strangest tones
Each meaning a new loss
As deathless town sleeps at dawn
Somewhere a tree is growing
Somehow a halter is tied
Someone old and trembling thought
Sometime he should hang himself
Take a sip of dandelion wine
Swallow some spoons of cayenne
That is what summer tastes like
In the deathless town
If you were there you’d live forever
Watching lilies bloom and wither
Quietly waiting for the next June
Junes and Junes so on and so forth
A huge whorl of summer days
Came upon the deathless
