I like animals. I like the ones who fly in the sky, swim in the sea, run on the ground, live in the cold places, live in the hot places, and been taken care by the people.
I like tigers. I’ve played with tiger toys, sing tiger songs, heard stories about tigers, saw the pictures, and read picture books about tigers. Since when I was little, I felt like if the tigers are my friends.
Tigers sometimes are cute, their furs are usually brown and have black stripes, but some tigers are white and there are only a few of them. They looked bold and powerful.
Recently, I read a book about tigers called “Saving the Last Wild Tigers”。 The book said that tigers are important to the habitats where they live. If the tigers become extinct, the plant-eating animals will get lots more and the vegetation will be destroyed.
The book also said that the tigers in Asia are disappearing, nine types of tigers lived in Asia long ago. Now, there are only five types left and there are only about 3, 500 tigers living in the wild.
I felt worried for the fate of the tigers. People can’t continue kill them, and people can’t cut down forests, too. People have to protect the tigers’ habitat. So the tigers will have a safe home.
Humans and Animals are both Earth’s children. Animals have the right to live on the Earth, too. If the tigers which have lived with the humans on Earth for millions of years vanished on Earth, that’s an unfortunate thing. I hope all the people on Earth like tigers and they will protect tigers!
