--my opinion of The Life and Strange Surprising Adventures Of Robinson Crusoe
Have you ever stayed alone for a long time? How long can you stay on a silent island by yourself? Can you make a house by yourself? Can you make bread without machine? Can you use animal skin make clothes without needlework? If your answer is “No, I can’t”, you won’t think Robinson has stayed in a silent island for more than twenty years. Now, let’s go into the lives of Robinson. Follow me!
Only through the heavy storm, is a sailor able to be successful. This is the greatest sentiment of my own after I finished reading the "Robinson Crusoe". In fact, the principle will be different in our different age. So I choose this book to read during this holiday. First of all, this book reflects Robinson‘s indomitable spirit. By virtue of his tenacious quality to fight with nature, after overcoming the initial pessimistic despair, he immediately flung himself into self-reliance and the conquest of nature.
By dint of his hands and wisdom, he used the guns and simple tools from broken board , hunting for food, planting crops, raising goats, building wall, digging caves, building houses, the production of ceramics, processing of flour, baking bread, drying grapes and so on. He made his life on track. Isn’t this spirit what we need?
He spent nearly six months build a canoe, but he found that it could not be used; he had to abandon the vessel. But he spent some time making a new one. This conquest of the infinite natures’ courage and enterprising spirit of perseverance is really worthy of our highly praised. He later rescued aborigines in the hands of a cannibal aborigine. Robinson named Friday to him. Friday became his good companion. He rescued some slaves with the help of Friday. He led them to build their own homes. After more than two decades he finally had the opportunity to return to his motherland. He rescued the captain and returned to England. Because he seized gold on the island, he became rich man. This means no cross, no crown. However he did not give up the island, there was a home on the island. He twice returned to the island to help them put down aggression and this embodied his spirit of helping others.
As the famous old sayings:
So long as you are a strong-willed man, you will be invincible where there is life; there is hope where there is a will, there is a way.
The longest day must have an end every dog has its day. Without hope the heart would break, He who lives by hope will die by hunger. Strike for it!
After this, I finish reading the book, I understand what is the real life? !
