The University of Southern Maine in September 2002 forbade smoking in its dorms and forced smokers to walk at least 50 feet （15 m） away from buildings. This fall， they will have to go even farther. The school is one of a growing number of colleges and universities finding new ways to restrict smoking on campus. According to Harvard School of Public Health， 29 percent of colleges in USA smoked in 1999， an increase of 28 % in just 6 years. Live and let live， this applies for smoking.
