If you ask me what I would like to be when I grow up, I'd say I would like to be a lawyer. To be this, I would have to go to school longer and study and memorize the whole English dictionary. If I could become a lawyer I would have to study three more years after my college education. This will not be a problem for me because this is really what I want to do.
I would like to be a children's lawyer because, since I am a kid now I know what amount of pressure can be put on a child by their peers(同龄人). For example, a child might be forced to do something that may hurt them or another person, physically or emotionally.
The duties that I would have as a children's lawyer would be to defend the child in court, for example, if the child got in trouble. If I had a child's case on my hands, I would talk to the child and ask him or her what tempted them to do what they did. Then I would talk to any witnesses(证人). After that I would talk to the family of the person who has hurt and find out where they were at the time. Then I would investigate where the crime took place and gather all the clues necessary to help my client's(委托人)case.
Another reason why I want to be a lawyer is that people say I talk a lot and when I tell what I want to be a lawyer, they tell me that I would make a good one.
And of course, I believe I could make it in the near future!
