After the defeat of their longtime nemesis5 Shredder, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have suddenly found themselves without a sense of purpose. The foursome6 begins to drift apart7, leaving their rat teacher, Master Splinter, deeply concerned about the state of this strange, but wonderful family. He grows even more worried when a new villain8 appears in New York City. Tech-industrialist Max Winters is preparing to take over the world with his army of ancient monsters. The Turtles must once again band together. With the help of their old friends, April O'Neil and Casey Jones, they're the only team that can thwart9 Winters and his plot. Oscar-nominated actor Mako was announced as the voice of Splinter the day before he died. Fortunately, he had finished the majority of his acting. Zhang Ziyi will voice the evil minion10 Karai in the movie.
